Fix one region with the Editor (inpaint)

Repair hands, swap an object, or clean up a background in one masked region using the web Editor without regenerating the whole image.

Settings & parameters

• Where: midjourney.com → open image → Editor → Erase/paint the area to change
• Model: V8.2 Edit model powers inpainting and outpainting
• Keep --raw on if the fix comes back over-stylized
• For thinking mode, rerun a V8.2 job with "thinking" to let Midjourney find and fix misses (early feature)

Variations

• "Remove the person in the background and continue the brick wall."
• "Correct the left hand to show five relaxed fingers holding the pen."
• Outpaint: extend the canvas to 16:9 and prompt "continue the beach and sky".

Tips

• Mask a little beyond the object's edge so the new content blends.
• Describe only what goes in the masked area, not the whole picture.
• Make several small fixes in sequence instead of one big mask.
